In 1974 John and his Wife Julia, also an ASC member were foundation members of the Aldinga Aero Club on the Aldinga Airfield where Julia learnt to fly Powered aircraft and many of our members now fly to for a coffee and a chat these days.

As an 18 year olds when Reg and I joined the club John made a lifelong impression on us with the way he communicated with, not only us, but all those he was involved with by the way he quietly conversed and passed on Knowledge.

John was a Gentlemen and had a great passion for the ASC and gliding.
